22-24 September  Heritage Weekend, Stanford

The programme starts on Friday, 22 September with three talks at the Okkie Smuts School Hall by Katie Smuts, local archaeologist, Fabio Todeschini, resident and Emeritus Professor of Architecture at UCT and long term Stanfordian, Berni Oberholzer, a landscape architect.

QIIQ Quiz on Saturday 23 September starts at 19h00 at the Coffee Corner with Quiz master, Sir John, and Quiz mistress, Lady Shirley. Entry fees are R120pp and includes a choice of 3 pizzas and a welcome sherry. Click on the poster thumbnail below for booking details.

23&24 September  Funky Fynbos Festival 2017, Gansbaai

Opening times for the Orchid Show in St Peter's Church Hall, Main Road, Hermanus are 09h00-17h00 on the 29th and 09h00-16h00 on the 30th. Entrance fee is R15 per persion (R10 per pensioner). 31 October to 4 November  Cultural Site Guide Course, Gansbaai
We are once again providing the opportunity for 14 persons to complete a cultural site guide course at the Tourism Bureau, Gansbaai. The facilitator will be Jeanette Bosman of the Livingstone Tourism Academy. Price is R6 250 inclusive. A deposit is required to secure your booking and full fee payable by 30 October. (First Aid course needs to be passed separately and will also be arranged by Gansbaai Tourism). It is an accredited course and will be a certified Overberg Site Guide course. 40 Credits will then be given for further Western Cape Guiding Course.
